(More customer reviews)This house is absolutely perfect. I was looking for the ULTIMATE haunted house collectible and Dept 56 and a few other vendors just didn't quite cut it. I've actually been searching for a few years and this house has THE most character of them all. This fit the mold. It's an old crotchety house with ghouls in every window, a creepy pumpkin man crouched on the porch, bats flying above, tombstones in the front yard, and of course the witch on top. She is sound activated and flies around the top cackling. I couldn't have asked for more in a Haunted House. The only thing I'm not big on is the word "Wicked" at the bottom... and the fact that behind the word it's pink. But that will easily be covered by some cotton or some other fog-look-a-like.
I was originally looking for the perfect house as the starter piece for a Halloween village but now that I look at other pieces to add, they just don't quite fit with the creepy look of this house. They are minimal at best and the buildings all look the same to me... kind of boxy and stout. This house is a standalone piece so there are no pieces to add. :(
