(More customer reviews)The overall quality was better than I'd expected, but the center board with the four legs was the last piece in the assembly. So only after you've wasted a couple of hours (more if you're doing it alone) and a lot of energy do you realize that this isn't going to work.
You could make it work if you're willing to jerry-rig it by sliding a board under the legs or by unscrewing the legs and adding 1x2x2 inch pieces to the top of each. of course you'd have to get longer screws, but i think that would work.
Trust me there is no good or easy solution. The amazon rep (who was very helpful) called Modus to see if they had put the wrong legs in my order, and they only make 9" legs.
If you google "Modus platform bed short legs", you will see that others have had this same problem. I'm thinking that maybe, just maybe, if you have a very thick carpet the legs might give some support, but if you have hard wood floors, I'd definitely avoid this bed.
