This arrived and it is the same design as my last one. I gave it four stars because it is not quite as well made. My original had a bit more "heft" to it, and overall a little nicer, more polished finish.
But those are cosmetic differences only. Functionally, it is the same. This cork screw uses the cross handle to turn the screw into the cork. Flipping the little cover on the cross handle allows you making the same turning motion to gently lift the screw - with the cork - out of the bottle. This process is quick and does not require any pulling force to remove the cork. Very simple, very reliable.
