The wood is beautiful and it looks good set up as a bed, but the directions are marginal and missing many steps and the center supports collapsed after a month of use--for quiet sleeping only. There was no operator error in putting the thing together, either; I am the designated assembler in my household because I read and understand directions the first time. I can only imagine what a mess the matching furniture would have been.
