It follows the life of it's main character (and the author's ancestor) John Thomas as he pursues his dreams of becoming a gentleman farmer in the new world. There's a little something for everyone in this read; adventure, romance, telling the history of the personal and physical sacrifices required of the early settlers of Virginia, and the role religious faith might have played in helping them overcome those challenges. I liked it. I think you will too.
